1. What is metasilicic-acid mineral water?
Metasilicic acid is one key indicator of national standards for the identification of nine trace elements in mineral water.
The nine limit indicators specified in the national standard for natural mineral water include lithium, strontium, zinc, selenium, bromide, iodide, metasilicic acid, free carbon dioxide and total dissolved solids.
Required content: lithium, strontium, zinc and iodide should be ≥ 0.2, selenium≥ 0.01, bromide ≥ 1.0, metasilicic acid ≥ 25, free carbon dioxide ≥ 250, total dissolved solids ≥ 1000 (unit: mg/L) .
And mineral water can be regarded as natural mineral water only when its water quality meets at least one requirement of the limit indicators above.
Metasilicic acid cannot be obtained from ordinary food for it only exists in natural mineral water. When the content of metasilicic acid in natural mineral water reaches ≥25mg/L, it can be called metasilicic acid-contained mineral water.
